Helpful insights into repairing dysfunctional relationships

Interesting book by Robert Jirda about relationships seen from a different angle than we are used to: How we and our relationships are affected by our chakras and our energy. He describes dysfunctional relationships so anyone who is in a dysfunctional relationship can clearly recognize him- or herself.
Several places in the book I found phrases that stood out or 'stuck', such as for example picking someone who shares your dream or "you can't help a person who doesn't want to be helped", and "all you need is a dream to share with your loved ones".
I agree with Robert when he talks about the "loving understanding of our own value" and how it is necessary for the dreams of both partners to be supported and lived in full.
It reminds me of what Kahlil Gibran wrote about relationships: "Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls..."
I would like to see more, positive and concrete action steps; and the existing steps could be more clearly presented, so it's easier to follow for someone who wants to take action on the valuable information and suggestions the author shares in the book.

Clear insights into personal relationships

Well written, thoughtful and clearly expressed insights into the entanglements and negative behaviours we so easily fall into, specifically when it comes to our most important relationships. Whether or not you are knowledgeable about chakra energy as taught in Hinduism and Buddhism, you will find plenty here to help you gain clarity into your own, and others', interactions and life circumstances. Why four stars rather than five? Simply because I would have liked this book to be longer, with lengthier discussions of some of the ideas the author puts forward. But it's an informative read and, as a result and just to refresh my own memory, I've now purchased the first volume in this series: The Chakra Owner's Manual.

Bringing Concepts Together

This was a wonderful book discussing how to look at relationships through a different lens, the chakras. I am so happy to see this perspective being written about. At the best of times relationships are often emotionally based where all the good baggage and challenging baggage from the past gets brought into the present relationship. This book gives us ideas and tools for changing our old ideas and about being open to using the chakras to teach us about true love. Open the book and open your heart and be ready to get new insight.
