Good Things Come In Small Packages!

I just finished "Another Sad Love Song", and it was a really good read. JaKoby Jackson is a good man, a succesful educated brotha, who has been hurt by his ex girlfriend Rhea. Jakoby meets Chryslin, when she runs into his Benz. Then she ends up working at the same comapany as Koby. Chrys eventually starts a relationship with Koby, although she is on the outs with her soon to be ex husband.
Trust is big issue in the new relationship, and soon problems arise. Koby and Chrys both have issues with trust b/c they have been cheated on and hurt before. With both of their ex's lurking in the background will the new relationship work? Or will it cave under pressure?
This is a really good love story, and I am really happy at the way it turned out.

Another Sad Love Song presents JaKoby Jackson, a good brother who comes from a good family. He's kind, considerate and loving. Education in fact is a big priority of his, seeing that he's just earned his masters degree and possibly has landed himself a great gig. The only thing missing is his soul mate. The woman he thought was the one, turned out to be a fraud. As he's healing from her misuse of him, he and his best friend, Dorian Silver, enjoy the nightlife.
As Koby falls in line at work, he discovers Chryslin Matthews, the woman he'd been involved in an accident with. They laugh as they discuss her driving, insurance and the fact that they are now employed at the same company. Although Chryslin literally ran into JaKoby, he immediately wants to ensure that she's receiving precisely everything that she needs.
It takes sometime before Koby and Chrys are open and honest with one another about their situations, but it's not long before the two become a joyous couple and partake in all of the fun of being newly involved. A startling revelation sends Chrys to Atlanta for an undisclosed amount of time. Playing phone tag works for awhile, but Koby allows jealousy to rear its ugly head. Can you trust the one you're with if that someone is far away?
Another Sad Love Song was an adorable book. I enjoyed the characters and the connections. Each chapter is a song title. I'm not really a fan of LOVE stories per se, but I think people looking for something to jolt their memories about love, or the hopes of attaining it will find this as a good read. Fans who are accustomed to La Jill dramas will be content.

This was the first book I've read by LaJill Hunt, but it won't be the last...

"Another Sad Love Song" by LaJill Hunt is a fast, satisfying read that deals with two persons trying to cope with baggage from past relationships as they embark on a new romance.
Jakoby Jackson is one of the good guys - he's educated, hardworking and faithful when in a relationship. He's recovering from a broken heart and not really looking for love. However, when Chryslin crashes into his newly gifted Mercedes Benz, Jakoby is intrigued with her from the beginning.
It seems fate has intervened when Jakoby encounters Chryslin days after starting a new, esteemed job. Chryslin works in the same building and this allows Jakoby to pursue his growing interest in her.
The road to happiness does not come without roadblocks or detours, however. LaJill Hunt develops an intriguing story with enough twists and turns to keep the reader on the edge of the seat with anticipation. It makes for a quick read, but one that is very enjoyable.
